2026 Iowa Colony Junior Pioneers - Fall 2026

Welcome to the Iowa Colony Junior Pioneers Youth Football & Cheer Registration!

At Iowa Colony Junior Pioneers, we put FAMILY FIRST. We are proud to be part of the Fort Bend Youth Football League. We are located in Iowa Colony, TX, and we accept boys and girls aged 5-12 as of September 1st. We also welcome cheerleaders who are 3 years old as of September 1st.

Before you sign up, here are a few important points to help you understand our program better:

1. Commitment: Joining our football or cheerleading program means a commitment from July - December. We have practices a minimum of three times a week.

2. Respect for Program Integrity: We ask that you do not sell items without permission from Dr. Donald Brown. If you want to sell items, there is a process to follow, which includes a minimum donation back to the program.

3 . Positive Sportsmanship: We believe in respect and kindness! Any negative behavior or inappropriate language can lead to removal from the program, as stated in our bylaws.

5. Volunteering: Volunteering is required, and not meeting these obligations will result in volunteer fines and affect your banquet ticket cost at the end of the season.

Discounts are not available during early bird registration.

  • Is the organization fundraiser mandatory: Yes. Each registration tier has its own requirement: Fundraising Family: Raise $400 minimum through the organization fundraiser Volunteer Family: Raise $200 minimum through the organization fundraiser Spectator Family: No fundraising or volunteering, but you must select the $200 Spectator Family buyout per enrolled participant during registration
  • Does ICJP offer any discounts?: Pricing discounts are only available during Early Bird Dates.
  • How does ICJP communicate with parents?: We communicate via email and GroupMe app.
  • What is needed for football practice?: A white practice jersey, black practice pants, cleats, mouthpiece, chin strap, & water bottle. For tackle levels, parents must purchase their own tackle helmet and shoulder pads.
  • Where does ICJP play games/ cheer?: We play a total of 8 games. 4 are home games that are hosted at Iowa Colony High School. The other 4 are away games and location will shared once the schedule for the season is released.
  • Is parent volunteering mandatory?: Yes, hosting home games requires many hands. Families who do not meet the family volunteer obligation will be assessed a fine via your registration account at the conclusion of the season. Volunteers can be a sibling or other family member. There is also a volunteer buyout option during the registration process.
  • What will be on my bank statement?: Donald Brown Developmental League will appear on your bank statement. ICJP is DBDL Youth Premier Athletics and Team Sports Program that falls under the nonprofit umbrella of Donald Brown Developmental League
  • What is the Dr. Motivate Logo?: The Dr. Motivate Logo is a part of the DBDL brand, and it goes on all DBDL Merchandise. Iowa Colony Junior Pioneers uses DBDL logos and trademarks.
  • How do I buy ICJP T-Shirts and Merch?: Fan Gear will open up during a two-week window. Fan Gear Order will be placed by July 31st. 15-to-21-day turnaround once Fan Gear closes.
  • Are Helmet and Shoulder Pads Included?: No. Helmets and shoulder pads are not included in the registration fee. Families are responsible for purchasing their own equipment. All required equipment must be purchased before uniform fitting. • Our first uniform fitting will take place in May. • Any fittings completed after June 15th may result in your athlete not receiving a uniform before the first game due to supply‑chain timelines.
  • Can I purchase my own football equip?: Absolutely! We strongly encourage parents to invest in their own tackle football helmets and shoulder pads. Owning your own equipment not only ensures a proper fit and comfort but can also lead to savings on tackle football registration fees. We do not provide tackle helmets or shoulder pads.
  • Can I exchange practice shirt & shorts?: Football Practice Shirt, Shorts and Cheer & Dance Practice Uniform: Please note that after placing your order, if a different size is needed, the replacement cost will be $30 (no exchanges).
  • Does ICJP have paid personnel?: Yes. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a portion of our operating budget is permitted to be allocated toward personnel whose work directly supports our mission, programs, and day‑to‑day operations.
